The rains have come and I have a question for you.

The rains have come and I have a question for you. Are you of the umbrella or no umbrella variety. We used to joke that you can tell who the tourists are by who is using umbrellas. Most of us here on the coast just suit up in our rain gear and hoods and get outside but maybe I’m wrong. Maybe locals use umbrellas too! Do you?

Also, in our house we only seem to own golf umbrellas which are huge and slightly embarrassing to use in public off the golf course.

The last two days I dropped the kids off at school

The last two days I dropped the kids off at school and then walked to the beach. Soaking up the beautiful sunshine and warmth and fresh air! This weekend is supposed to get rainy and all of the fall feels are coming on strong.

Well that’s different! Not usually what you see posted by Loops. I used to work with unique, one of a kind stones more than I have recently. However, I was looking through my collection and pondering doing a few one of a kind pieces with some turquoise, rose quartz, howlite, lapis, etc that I have. The question I want to know from you - is this something you would be interested in? If not, don’t be afraid to say it. If so, do you prefer rings or earrings? And then do you like ready to ship pieces or just choosing the stone and designing something custom? Let me know! This year, I’ve realized many things I never wan

This year, I’ve realized many things I never want to take for granted. But today, as the fog lifted and the skies were clear, I was especially reminded of how beautiful this scene is. A lush forest floor bathed in sunlight that is scattered by the trees that tower above. Grateful to still have this here.

It’s Friday night and we made it through the first week back at school and everyone is still smiling! Now that’s something to celebrate.

Looking out the window at the smoke that still lays heavy in our area and thinking of all of the forests lost and people who have had to walk away from their home not knowing if it will be there when they come back. Praying for more rain!

It may not look like it outside but the fog is lif

It may not look like it outside but the fog is lifting in my world! The last couple weeks have been full of everything from birthday celebrations to back to school lunch making, golf tournaments to lazy last days of summer vacation and everything in between. Even a market and same shop restocks in there! But today the kids headed back to school for their first full day and suddenly that to do list seems conquerable! Like most, this fall comes with a whole pile of mixed emotions but for now, this morning as I sit in my studio, the fog is lifting.
